Tuesday - Friday

Today's blog is dedicated to the Kenya lot. Please bring back some good footballing Kenyans for Woking and the Cobham Youth team who blew away East Grinstead on Thursday.

Firstly I can't remember much about the school day until my fun filled one hour detention with Scrivener. We discussed the pros and cons of blogging, listened to The Kooks' original album (chiefly the seaside song) and all this while writing out the code of conduct. We also discussed Nick Hughes and Shane Rideout who he was very complementary about. Then to ensure I wouldn't half to go to two hours of dribble I didn't tell my mum or dad about the D of E presentation until half way to Cobham training and a good thing to cause it was a superb session. On the pitch again and the future Woking manager took it and it was good. On the subject of Woking after a 1-5 loss they have sacked Phil Gilchrist. I am furious about it to however there maybe a silver lining. Maybe the club might see sense and appoint me this time. The club will receive my CV very shortly. Nothing major happened on Wednesday other than our final dance in P.E. If I am honest it could have gone better and we did have injury problems cause Emily had a really bad back and Josh was away. C band were doing JFO.

Thursday was our turn to do JFO and I had a ball. It was a superb day. Langy, Max and I were managing Pyrford A. We got off to a great start winning 6-0 and 2-0 however in the biggest game agianst Thurgys team we lost :(. I couldn't believe it. We picked ourselves up and beat Sythwood 3-1. The 3 of us decided to then give awards to the players. Player of the day went to Ed. Best goal to holly and best attitude to William. The whole team were superb and I enjoyed every minute. I have also decided I want to manage or coach a little kids team on a Sunday. Then I had a Clarky lesson with Clarky back on top form.

Then for Cobham and we were playing title favorite East Grinstead away. It is a lovely little ground but miles away. We warmed up in a lovely sunset and I found out I was playing. Determined not to play shit I relaxed and just played nice a calmly with game head on. Lewis scored again and then Rideout blasted in a freekick. 2-0 up at half time and cruising. Second half was much of the same and we sealed the match with an outragous Timmy volley to make it 3-0. With not long left Dan or Nick lost there man from a corner and cost me my clean sheet and the game was alive again until Johno turned and crashed the ball home. Despite not having many saves to make I was delighted with the way I played and my decisions were a million times better than they have been all year and my kicking was good. Very, very good Thursday. The only blot on a super Thursday was no pasta in the bar. Just sandwiches.

Friday passed effortlessly. Good week

JD

End of post.
